Sun Burnt
Well I have spent the last 3 days at the lake with some friends and I'm so red. I never think about putting anything on so I won't. O well, to late now.
Colby went with us on Tuesday to the lake. It was his first time on a boat and first time at the lake. He was ok with the boat. He would not move from his seat for a while and would not talk. LOL After a while he started talking and playing.
He did not like being in the water at all. He was crying and kicking me. Then we had a hard time getting him on the boat cause the there is not a ladder. It took us 4ever to get him on the damn boat.
But any who...
We leave for the beach on the July 22 at 7am. I can't wait to go, plus Colby is bigger these year so he can play now and not just lay there like a blob...

Yay you posted and I didn't even have to fuss at you. So did the munchkin get his cast off Monday? How'd his arm look?
I cannot believe he didn't like the water, he usually loves it.

He got it off on moday around 11am. He did not like it at all. he cryed and kicked while she was trying to get it off. when she was done he said again! lol his arm stinks real bad. lol chris about dies whne she took it off. he was holind him and he got a good smell of it.lol
he liked the water a little after he was a out there for a while. you should come with us some time. then he might stay in
Are you going to put him in swimming lessons at all?
I bet he is going to love playing in the sand!

i would offer some pointers with the swimming lessons (i used to teach...there's no end to my talents) just email or ask ;)

Which beach are you going to? The lake sounds like it was a good time and I'm regrettably with you on the sunblock thing - I never think about it until its too late and I'm walking around looking like a morphed lobster / raccoon!

It does get better the older they get b/c they can do more and so you can also. I remember when my son went to the beach for the first time, it was the same way and I couldn't do anything but take care of a kid that wanted to do it but couldn't. But at least I could play in the water with him as it came in on shore. He loved that while he dug in the sand.
the best thing to do with him at the moment is water confidence
get him used to going to the swimming pool or something just so that he starts enjoying it, but may sure he know's it's not all about fun though, otherwise if you do put him into lessons he'll mess around for a while
